Ignite Books website: on its way!
So, here it is. The website. A tiny corner of cyber-space claimed, tamed, and built upon. All this were virtual fields once, but soon we’ll have roads, street lighting, and a pub over there by that big old tree. There’s going to be perfect surf, great live bands, and healthcare for all. Just wait. You’re going to love it….
We’ve kept it simple. Partly so my cyber-guru didn’t have to spend all his life explaining the intricacies of website construction to me; and partly because it gives me a fighting chance of navigating my own way round it without getting lost and having to send up a flare. Again.
This site is about my work as a writer. You’ll find information about books I’ve written, examples of my poetry and prose, and all the details about the Ignite Books project. Like I say, it’s a simple site thus far, so come on in, make yourself at home, and take a gander. I’ll be adding another piece of writing to the Poems/Short Stories page every couple of weeks, so there’ll always be something new to enjoy when you come back. There are also vague plans to send out irregular and erratic updates once every couple of blue moons, so if you feel you can’t possibly live without those, subscribing is relatively easy – click on this link and it’ll open up a new page. Enter your email address and hey presto, you’re on the list! If you change your mind, and are plagued by regrets you can’t live with, click the same link and hit ‘unsubscribe’. There. Feel better? Or is a niggling sense of loss now bugging you? Best click ‘subscribe’ again then… Ah, the power…
And last but by no means least, if you’ve a spoken-word or poetry night you’d like me to perform at, drop me a line at steve@stevepottinger.co.uk. Our Ignite Gala Nights over the first half of 2011 reminded me just how much I enjoy getting out and about and sharing my work.
all the best
Steve
